Agincourt, Waterloo, Magna Carta - 2015 has been a year rich in anniversaries and it was another notable anniversary namely VE Day that Crowborough Lions chose to commemorate with their float at this year’s Crowborough Carnival.
Participating for the first time in many years and costumed to represent all branches of the military, ARP wardens and the fire service, we even had Mrs Mopp from ITMA. Accompanied by popular songs of the time, the Lions added their tribute to that memorable day seventy years ago.
'The Northern Lightweights' in a devastating burst of cerebral agility swept aside the opposition to claim the 2016 Quiz’n’Chips title. Having failed to trawl up the right answers, it's back to the northern lights of old Aberdeen for the rest of the teams.

This year’s Handover Dinner at Barnsgate Manor when President Hilary Lyon passed over the Presidential Chain of Office to incoming President Terry Mason who has been a very active club member for the past 15years as well as holding District Officer positions, including that of District Governor for our District 105SE.
After an enjoyable dinner, President Terry confirmed the Club’s promise to continue to support the local community in every way possible.
It was ‘The Provincial Perverts' who triumphed in Crowborough Lions annual Quiz'n'Chips, emerging as the eventual winners after a three-way tie at the end of the competition. The winners are pictured with their booty, a bottle of wine each.
