This year’s Handover Dinner at Barnsgate Manor when President Hilary Lyon passed over the Presidential Chain of Office to incoming President Terry Mason who has been a very active club member for the past 15years as well as holding District Officer positions, including that of District Governor for our District 105SE.
After an enjoyable dinner, President Terry confirmed the Club’s promise to continue to support the local community in every way possible.
It was ‘The Provincial Perverts' who triumphed in Crowborough Lions annual Quiz'n'Chips, emerging as the eventual winners after a three-way tie at the end of the competition. The winners are pictured with their booty, a bottle of wine each.
At our annual handover dinner for incoming officers held on Saturday 22 July at Barnsgate Manor, Hilary Lyon was elected as Club President for 2017-18. Hilary is a very active member of the Club and has been President on three previous occasions. In her acceptance speech Hilary said “I am once again looking forward to leading various projects and continuing Crowborough Lions Club’s commitment to serving the community.”

NORTHERN LIGHTS SWITCHED ON - for the second time in the past three years the 'Northern Lights' team triumphed in our latest Quiz'n'Chips social evening. In a three-way tie for first place with 'The Latecomers' and 'All & Sundry' they won the tie-breaker question in guessing the closest answer to the number of gallons spilled in the Great Beer Flood of London in 1814 i.e. 323,000 gallons.
