Just two points covered the top three places in last Saturday's event. At the halfway mark, last years winners 'Crowborough Chapter' were tied with 'Two+Two+Two' but the latter just edged it in the second half to triumph by a single point. 'Jen Helps the Aged' finished third just a further point behind.

Newly elected President Hilary was caught eating the profits at Saturday's Crowborough Fair. Our candy floss was really popular, with popcorn and the bookstall a distant second and third. David Jamieson acquired blisters from twirling the candy floss sticks - has he discovered a new RSI?
At Crowborough Hospital Fete on August Bank Holiday Monday our Cut-the-Cards Tins and Tombola Bottles stalls did great business in the summer sunshine and raised over £700 for the Friends of Crowborough Hospital. So popular was the Tombola that there was a queue to participate for most of the afternoon. Our thanks to members and 'Friends' for manning the stalls on the day and to the residents of Crowborough who most generously donated all the tins and bottles.

MERRY MARSHALS - here's the all-smiles line-up at today's Crowborough Runners 10k event. Our annual marshalling efforts were generously rewarded by the Runners and our job was made easy by the patience and understanding displayed by Crowborough's drivers throughout the event.
